Principal, Architecture & Interior Design
From my early days in architecture I have always felt that as architects we have a fiduciary responsibility to our clients and the effective use of their funds. This has meant that my projects have always strived to achieve the optimal balance of aesthetics, functionality and cost. Finding and maintaining this balance for each client has evolved into my passion for creating high performance workplaces and the belief that a properly designed workplace will measurably improve a client’s "bottom line."
Throughout my career I have been fortunate to have completed projects for industry leaders such as GMAC Residential Mortgage, Cendant Mortgage, The Pew Charitable Trusts, Educational Testing Service, CIGNA Healthcare, IKON Office solutions, BISYS Retirement Services, Liberty Property Trust, Brandywine Realty Trust, GSI, United Illuminating, PECO Energy, Key Bank and PNC Bank.
I maintain active "hands-on" involvement in Business Development, Client Relationship Management and selected projects. With over 35 years experience in Architecture, Interior Design, Practice Management, Discipline Management and Firm Management I have personally designed and managed over 8.5 million SF of space for corporate clients. Additional experience includes real estate strategy consulting, interiors master planning and owner’s representation.
A registered architect with a Bachelor of Architecture from Pennsylvania State University, I am licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland and Iowa.
Professional and community involvement is also important to me. Over the years I have been fortunate to have been involved in many organizations as a volunteer. Among the more prominent are former positions on the Board of Directors for the Charter High School for Architecture & Design in Philadelphia and the Penn State Alumni Development Committee for the College of Arts & Architecture. Currently, I am President of the Board of Directors of the Penn State College of Arts & Architecture Alumni Society and serve on the University’s Alumni Council.
Personal pursuits are hiking, mountain biking and kayaking.
